About

Sean T. Desmond graduated from the Florida State University, College of Law in 2000. He quickly joined the 2nd Circuit State Attorney's Office, where he tried cases ranging from misdemeanors to capital felonies. From 2004 to 2009, Mr. Desmond entered private practice handling Criminal Defense, Family Law and Civil Litigation. From 2009 to 2011, Mr. Desmond returned to the State Attorney's Office as the Chief Assistant State Attorney for Wakulla County and subsequently served as Chief of the Leon County Court Division. Mr. Desmond established the Law Office of Sean T. Desmond in September, 2011, handling Criminal Defense matters, family law and personal injury. In late 2016, Mr. Desmond joined the Florida Department of Environmental Protection as a Senior Assistant General Counsel handling litigation matters. In May 2018, Mr. Desmond joined Dudley, Sellers, Healy, Heath & Desmond, PLLC.

Mr. Desmond is a Past Chair of The Florida Bar Standing Committee on Professionalism, currently serves on the Florida Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism and is the Vice-Chair of the 2nd Circuit Professionalism Panel. In addition, Mr. Desmond is the immediate Past Chair of the Solo & Small Firm Section of The Florida Bar (having chaired the 2014 Solo Small Firm Technology Conference), is a member of The Florida Bar Leadership Academy Committee and served as Chair of The Florida Bar's Annual Convention for 2015.

Mr. Desmond also serves on the Florida Supreme Court Historical Society Board of Trustees. He is active in his local area having served as Chair of The Florida Bar Grievance Committee, is a Past President of the William H. Stafford American Inn of Court and is the Immediate Past President of the Tallahassee Bar Association. Mr. Desmond served as the President of the Young Lawyers Division for The Florida Bar from June 2011 to June 2012.
